I know the Cranes since December 1992 when they supported The Cure on their Wish tour. I remember seeing them in the interview that Ray Cokes of MTV did with Robert Smith (on the coach). My brother then bought the album etc etc.
I am looking forward to the gig at the Mean Fiddler tomorrow. I haven't got the new album yet but I listened to "Future song" just now after having downloaded it and I must say that it's pretty perfect! I love it. If the gig is good I will buy the album!

I've been a long time fan. If anyone is interested in an interview with the band (well, Alison) circa 1992, with pics from their '92 tour of Los Angeles, published in a small weird mag called Mute on the Floor, contact me and I can perhaps help you out. I discovered Cranes back in '96 while going through a horrible time in my life. My brother intro'd me to the music and I've been in love with it ever since. I even got to see them live when Pop 4 came out and while it was an extremely small venue with an even smaller turnout I thoroughly enjoyed the show. I got to be right up front at the stage and I loved every moment. I ran into two of the new songs from the album on a website and after listening just had to see if I could find out more news about the new album and voila here I am. I will probably be ordering the new album in the next couple of weeks as I won't be able to wait for the US release! "Here Comes the Day" is a beautiful song.

Thanks to Cranes for your wonderful music and I hope the future holds only the best for you!

All I can say is "WOW"! I have been waiting for a band like this for years. I never even knew they existed
until I saw them touted on a Cure website. This band is like the perfect mix of an ethereal and pure voice (love that Ali),
and amazing, raunchy guitar works with solid percussion. What more could anyone want? It is like Catherine Wheel meets Garbage
only better. But I guess if you are here reading this, I am preaching to the converted. I must
see the Cranes in concert. Cranes, if you all come to Ontario, I can garauntee you will sell at least one ticket. =)

Well, I first heard the Cranes at the Long Beach Arena during The Cure's Wish tour. When I heard them I immediately fell in love with their musical style.

The main thing I wanted to say was that I think that "Tomorrow's Tears" is one of the most emotional and heartfelt piece of music I have ever heard in my entire life.

I heard the song 'everywhere' on our local radio station for what must have been the first and last time they ever played it, sadly. It was enough for me, I turned my car around and bought Forever, I was hooked, and the rest is history.

I'm so excited for the new album. If the demo (Future Song) is any indication to their direction with this new album, then my head just may explode. Beautiful composition, there's no question why they're a staple band on our station.

Amazing. Everything I've tried to get to in my own music. It seems they do it without any effort. (Yeah, I know that ain't true), but it is true art, in that their music seems so effortless.

First saw them support the Cure in 92, when I was at the show that 'Show' was taped at (Auburn Hills, MI) Fantastic. I was mezmerized.

Saw them a couple of times since, lastly at St. Andrews Hall in Detroit, and got to meet Matt outside. Very down to earth and cool. Not pretentious at all. True artistic music. It paints emotion. Fantastic. Very few bands have the ability to do that, and combine so many elements, so well. Its music, paint, art, emotion, orchaestral, all tied into one.

Gracias a Cranes.

My hearfelt thankx to the Cranes and my dear sister Shari for
getting me in the know!! About five years ago, I was at a crux
point in my life and was unfolding from 28 years of darkness!
When I first heard the sweet sounds of the Cranes, I became
instantly aware that here was a familiar and safe space to be
in. For the first time I had some music that let my inner child
come out and play. I have been in that beautiful space at least
once a day ever since. Thank you so much for allowing this woman
to be a child. You are my comfort zone!!! Keep dreaming.

I'm 15 years old and thanks to my great boyfriend I got to listen to your magical music. I just love you all.

Does anyone know if The Cranes are going on tour soon...? If they are, they simply have to come to the swedish HULTSFREDSFESTIVAL this summer!!! My life is probably depending on it...

i went to the craned fan page. I think this page is great, Cranes is my favorite band! I
think you should add all the songs(audio) from the album "loved" so I can download them.
I can't find them on any other page. Thanx.

I'm after the new album that was due to be released in October 2000: can anyone advise me how to get hold of it, and also where to get Wings of Joy from?
