Im not sure about other Cranes-fan foru members, but ive been recieving bogus Virus Alerts from the admin here at the forum.
The script appears to have been compromised, happens once in a while, maybe the admin here should update their installation of the forum script.
In the mean time, I suggest all users just delete these mesages, without clicking any links... remember they are probably just phishing. That is checking your email to see if it works, if so they can put your address on a list and sell it as a genuine working email... and lo and behold.. Spam Spam Spam Spam wonderful spam

i'm aware of the recent spam problem here, and i'm taking steps to prevent. just for the record, these messages are not coming from an admin account on this forum. i'm the only admin account on here. those are bogus usernames made to look like an admin. it's not me.
anyways - i've set the forum registration that it will require me to manually approve every new user. i'll delete any suspect accounts from there.
btw - good seeing you around here again Mark. got any new music for us?

All Boards are suffering from this. I moderate 2 boards and it's almost impossible to keep em out. This bot bypasses emailverification & even ReCaptcha. They use open emailaccounts from gmail & yahoo.
@ admin, you can run all IP's to http://www.stopforumspam.com/ to verify _________________

Hi Mike.. Sorry didnt come back here til now...
New music?
Hmm.. well no... Im mostly doing film music these days... but once a year I make sure I do one solo looping guitar gig... this year it has yet to happen, but Im hoping to get across the pond to appear at a festival in Santa Crus in October...
recordings??
Hmm unlikely... except that my internet recordings with faustine may come out soon... its just a format problem right now cos the album is one ninety minute long track... too long to fit on a CD, and quite a big download... but still...
What else..?
Ive been asked to play guitar in a band fronted by a hugely famous bass player that shall rename nameless... Im just thinking about it... its kind of a whore gig tho...
Oh.. and Ive started a game company, and am making my first computer game... early days yet... www.ordoabkhao.com
later Mike...

Well he always was one of life's loose cannons. Give him a spanner and he'll use it in ways never intended, but it'll be a cash-cow.
The U.K. is less of a place for your absence Mr. Francombe. |
